CSNS Post-Convention Report With 6 NEWPS
Hi Folks,
By now you have heard all about the very active CSNS Convention that happened last week in Shaumburg, IL, at the Renaissance Hotel. From the perspective of numbers of attendees, I would say that over Thursday and Friday for ‘public’ attendance, there were more people than at the Summer ANA Show last year in Oklahoma City. But I did not quite feel the red hot vibe of this past Winter FUN where the room was larger and the number of people on the floor was greater. Nevertheless, as all other dealers I talked to confirmed on their end, this was a spectacular show in terms of selling. I can’t say if this activity is sustainable, but right now numismatic coins are nuclear and many more folks are understanding that the price guides for cool coins are pretty much not very useful. I was able to buy and sell across the US coin spectrum at a wide range of price points. From half cents to dollars, from 1800 to 1955. Some really fun and cool coins. In terms of buying, I bought 61 coins, all CACed except one. That one is now at CAC being considered for a sticker. We will see. Several are being crossed to CACG, and one is being attributed correctly. So I have something like 5 to 6 dozen coins to post in the next couple months, including pre-CSNS pickups.
I did my daily Show Reports and posted them on the PCGS boards. You can access them here:

Fun times were had by all at the CSNS convention. Including a couple of guys who were fencing a stolen coin and were caught. You can read all of the drama of this here:
I did not see any of this happen as it was in another part of the massive room. Suffice to say a good outcome for the collector who had lost his rare coin, and hopefully a bad outcome for the thieves.
I have 6 coins newly listed on the website, and presented below. As always I recommend looking up the Cert Numbers and seeing the images by the TPGs as well when available.
You can click on the images and it takes you to the listings. As I continue to image the new hoard, I will be doing my best to add more each week and present them in COOL COIN SHOWCASES. This way I can do themes and add more information about each type. So please keep a lookout for my announcement emails and posts on PCGS message boards for these, and thanks for your interest.
If you have CACed coins or any other cool coins to sell, I am buying and please contact me through our email address.
Please email us at desertmoonnm@yahoo.com if you are interested in any of our offerings.
Thanks for reading!
Best, DM
