1837 Bust Quarter, CACG AU53
When I got this gorgeous 1837 Capped Bust Quarter in CACG AU53, there was a sticker on the front label that says 'Color!'. And this describes the eye appeal of this richly toned quarter. And as such I left the sticker on for emphasis. It is the B4 die marriage with the die state where a die crack tries to cut Miss Liberty in half and with the reversed cracked from D through STATE to the rims. Very cool. But let's get back to that 'Color!'. Well, you can see it in the images, and I hate to be a broken record, but they just don't come with such 'Color!' on every table in the bourse or every website on the net and especially rare when meeting CAC approval. This one is housed in a CACG Gen 2 holder and has the die marriage designation on the label. For all of the 1837 die marriages, CAC has only stickered/holdered 3 in AU53 and 7 total in AU55 and AU58. That is an average of 2 per die marriage, and I would wager this is amongst the most 'Color!'ful of the lot. Very cool.
