Hi I am Libby!  Where to begin and I will try to keep this short.  Since I was minted, I have had a good life.  All of the folks that gave me a home took real good care of me.  I never was dipped in something bad or cleaned with a brush like some of my friends were.  Then in the 1920's, I was given a home from Col. E.H.R. Green.  Over time I developed some gorgeous colors next to my edges.  
 
After he passed in the late l930s, a man named Eric P. Newman acquired me and alot of the rest of Colonel Green's collection in the early 1940's. Then after more than 70 years, in 2013 Mr. Newman decided to sell most of what he acquired from Col. Green.  I was put into a fancy plastic holder called a slab with a special label, and officially certified at the grade of MS64.  Then to auction, where a company called Heritage auctioned me and the other Col. Green coins in Mr. Newman's holdings.  I was officially sold Nov. 16, 2013 in this auction for $5287.50.
 
Here is what they wrote about me in that Heritage auction:
 
"1833 50C MS64 NGC. O-109, R.3. Ex: "Col." E.H.R. Green. Golden-brown and blue-green margins provide ideal album toning. The coruscating surfaces are exceptionally free from contact aside from a hair-thin vertical line below Liberty's eye. A bold strike further ensures the eye appeal. Overton-109 can be identified by the presence of a die line to the east from the right base of the I in AMERICA
Ex: "Colonel" E.H.R. Green; Green Estate; Partnership of Eric P. Newman / B.G. Johnson d.b.a. St. Louis Stamp & Coin Co.; Eric P. Newman @ $3.00; Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society."
 
I guess they liked me.  Anyway, my last owner had to sell to Desert Moon because he could no longer keep me.  So here I am.  What do you think?  Mr. DM is offering me for much less than I sold before, and now I am in an MS63 holder but I have a green sticker on my new slab.  They tell me that is special.  Anyway, I need a good home and I am good company.
