Isabella Quarter, PCGS MS64
Here is a lovely example of the Commerative Quarter from 1893 - the Isabella Quarter produced for the Columbian Exposition in Chicago. It is in a PCGS Old Holder in MS64. It is emersed in tones of aqua blue, champagne, and amber on both the obverse and the reverse. Flashy carthwheel when rotating under the light.
Depicted on the obverse is Queen Isabella of Spain. This, along with the Columbian Half, was one of the first US Commerative coins. Some consider the 1848 CAL quarter eagle the first, but it is not broadly classified as a Commerative coin, so techinically the Columbian Half is the first in 1892, followed the Quarter in 1893.
