Here is an 1879-CC Half Eagle in CACG VF35.  It was part of the John McCloskey Collection that was auctioned by Heritage in January. 2022.  Any CC Half Eagle from the 1870's is scarce.  For the 1979-CC there have been a total of 62 coins approved by CAC or graded by CACG.  There are 5 in VF35, and 7 in XF.
 
This example is the 3rd 1879-CC in VF35 we have owned and far exceeds the quality of the previous 2.  It has distinctive toning with scattered scarlet accents with butterfinger-gold surfaces and is gushing eye appeal. Flashy luster comes out when rotating under the light.  Just a pq example for the grade and a rare find.
