Here is lovely 1899-O Barber Half in PCGS XF45.  It has fields of dark amber, and silky luster under the light.  It is one those coins that can on a good day, be low AU, and if the mood in the grading room is not quite right, can fall to XF.  Interestingly, this lovely Barber Half went for $822.50 in a Heritage auction in January, 2017.  So at least 2 people saw this as a better than XF coin a decade ago.  I will say right out that we paid $700 for it because we feel it is uber pq for the grade.  It has been at the Desert Moon table for 2 years with no interest, folks don’t want to pay what our ask was ($825).  We are now asking $700, or break even, but give us an offer we can’t refuse.  You won’t be disappointed in this lovely coin.
