1895-O Eagle, PCGS MS62
Here is an 1895-O Eagle graded MS62 by PCGS. This example has lemon-honey color and strong luster. The biggest challenge in obtaining late date (1892-1906) New Orleans Liberty Eagles is the bag marks. Most were stored away for decades and likely many in Europe. Moved around, bounced, hit, crashed, etc. In bags. This is particularly the case for those from the 1890's. So the key is to find them with minimal to no bag marks, even at the grade of MS62. Like this one. There just aren't any bad bag marks on this coin. Lovely luster rotating under the light, and super great surfaces. Why is it in a MS62 holder instead of a MS63? Well a MS63 will cost at least twice as much, so maybe let's just keep it in this holder and get tremendous value that way? OK, we will...............
In summary, this lovely Eagle is how we like them, branch mint, rich luster and color, minimal hits for a 62.
