Here is a Carson City Liberty Eagle in PCGS AU50/CAC.  It resides in an old green holder.  This example has nice luster when rotating under the light, and largely devoid of hits that are typical of CC gold, which is part of the reason CAC approved it.  Light wear from circulation.  PCGS and Great Collections have no auction records in their data bases for CACed examples in XF and lower AU grades.  Of the 9 examples auctioned in AU55-58 from 2022 to present, none of these were in old green holders.  The combined CAC/CACG population for all grades is 47, with 3 in AU50 and 4 in AU53.  Hence this example is rare on many fronts.................
