Here is a vibrant proof 1866 3 Cent Silver piece with electric blue, rose, and apricot toning.   The first image was taken using the axial method, that brings out the rich colors on the mirrors of this proof.  The second image shows the coin with the lights next to the lens in the standard way. CAC has approved only 14 in Pr66, and only 1 in a higher grade of Pr67.   That one will cost around $10K if it ever comes up for sale.  The Pr65 CAC retail price is $1800, so the jump to the Pr66 grade is small.  Hence this coin sits in that best value window we like to find examples in.

    For orders from this website, we accept returns for 7 days after receipt of coin by buyer.  Buyer must notify us at desertmoonnm@yahoo.com of return within that 7-day time frame.  Coin must be returned in its original plastic slab.   Buyer pays for return shipping.  Refund will be issued upon receipt of coin in the same condition (including the slab) as it was sent to the buyer.
