Here is another Capped Bust Half with gushing eye appeal.  It is an 1824 in PCGS AU58 and is the O-116 variety. It has Allgood pedigree on the slab.  It was part of the PCGS Registry set assembled by CTN Allgood, featuring high-grade, scarce die-marriages and where possible, the kind of top of the level eye appeal that the example here shows.   Totally high end for the grade examples that were carefully selected for their choice conditions.  His registry set is still active and this O-116 was upgraded to an MS65 and hence made available.  But if one wants to see an amazing set of bust halves, and still working on improving it, here is the link:

It is the 3rd All Time Finest Set in the PCGS Registry and currently #2 in active sets.  And this amazing coin offered here was upgraded.  Yikes.............. 
 
Indeed, this example exhibits all of the characteristics of a choice, uber pq AU58 bust half, cartwheel luster, gorgeous toning, problem free surfaces, and the kind of original look that so few have.  It was sold in a Sheridan Downey auction in 2017 for $2145.  An excerpt from the auction description:  "This little beauty glows with original, iridescent toning, favoring the rustic colors of a fall afternoon in the Adirondacks." We agree............  It was perviously sold by Stacks-Bowers in 2012 for $1150 where it was part of the Keith Davignon collection.  Impressive pedigree all around and an opportunity to obtain a truly spectacular example.
