1818 Bust Half, Pincers 8's, PCGS VF30

This is the Pincers 8's Capped Bust Half variety from 1818.  It is in a PCGS VF30 holder and is O-108.  The Pincers 8's gets its name from the clear gaps in the top loops of the two "8" digits in the date.  This makes both 8's look like a pair of pincers (nail pullers).  This example is a perfect VF30 coin, with mostly deep steel and aqua blue tone on the peripheries of each side, grading into russet towards the centers, honest wear with no major detractions.  Some other colors come in as does the rich luster while rotating under the light.  Just a pq coin for the grade!

  • RETURN POLICY

    For orders from this website, we accept returns for 7 days after receipt of coin by buyer.  Buyer must notify us at desertmoonnm@yahoo.com of return within that 7-day time frame.  Coin must be returned in its original plastic slab.   Buyer pays for return shipping.  Refund will be issued upon receipt of coin in the same condition (including the slab) as it was sent to the buyer. 

  • SALES TAX

    All orders delivered to New Mexico addresses will pay NM sales tax.
