This 1806 Draped Bust Quarter in PCGS VG10 is the B6 die marriage which is an R5 in rarity.  This rarity rating means that there are an estimated 46 to 60 of this die marriage extant in all grade and qualities.  Only the 1806 B8 is rarer for this date with an R6 rating.  This B6 is die  state ‘a’, showing a die crack at the top of ST and then to the rim on the reverse.  Eventually this die crack forms a really cool cud across ST to the rim, of which examples are very rare (a few known) and carry a wild premium.  This makes it the second time these two dies were used together. In the first use together, the crack after ST to the rim is absent.  Between these 2 uses together, this reverse die was used to mint the die marriage B5 in its ‘P’ state.  The obverse die was also used to mint the die marriages B7, B8, and B10.  Tracing die histories like this is one aspect of the earliest US coinage that makes them so interesting.
 
This example is a wholesome VG coin showing circulation wear with no major detractions.  It has a circulated Cameo look especially on the obverse.  The patina exhibited in the images, when turned just right under the light, shows subtle pastel colors.  Just a very cool  and very rare coin in a Very Good state.  Verily, verified, and with veracity we say.
